Open Library - Tentative
Open library dates are tentatively scheduled for Sunday March 30, 2008, Sunday April 20, 2008 and Sunday May 20, 2008 from 2 PM to 4 PM at Lindenwood School, 12351 N. Granville Road, Mequon, WI.

Frauengruppe
The Frauengruppe at the Lindenwood Community Center located at 12351 N. Granville Road in Mequon, Wisconsin. Meeting dates are scheduled for April 20, 2008, May 8, 2008 and June 12, 2008.
The Frauengruppe is an auxiliary of the Pommerscher Verein Freistadt. They help with record-keeping and filing for the library, view the latest acquisitions, and have access to resources to help them in their own research. They are a service organization but also enjoy Kaffeeklatsching. New members are always welcome. Bring a bag lunch; dessert and beverage are provided.

Annual Benefit Party - Freistadt Heritage Foundation
Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Circle B Recreation Hall, 6261 Highwy 60, Cedarburg, WI 53012. Doors open at 5:00 pm, serving begins at 5:30 pm. Entertainment from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Entertainment by Alte Kameraden Band, the Pommersche Tanzdeel dance groups, and the Lindenwood 4-H club. Tickets for dinner and entertainment are $14 for adults; $6 for children. Annual Anniversary Dinner
Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Iron Ridge Inn on Main Street in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin. Cash bar opens at 12:00 noon and dinner is served at 12:30 pm. Cost is $11.50 for individual or family members, $14.50 for guests and associate members, and $6.50 for children 10 years old and under. Reservations are needed by April 20. Pommerscher Verein Freistadt Monthly Meeting
Friday, May 9, 2008 at 7:30 pm at the Lindenwood School, 12351 N. Granville Road, Mequon, WI.
"The Making of Milwaukee", a new series on DVD about the history of Milwaukee's growth produced by Public Television in Milwaukee will be shown. The program deals with settlement, early immigration and the German immigrants.
The building is usually open by 6:30 pm for members who would like to attend the German class conducted by Irmgard Meyer or those who would like to browse the library.

Mai Fest in Germantown
Saturday and Sunday, May 17 & 18 at 16300 Mequon Road in Germantown, Wisconsin. The Pommersche Tanzdeel will perform on Sunday afternoon. German bands, food and beer are part of the festival.

Sunday, June 29, 2008, noon to 6:00pm at the Mequon City Park, 11333 North Cedarburg Road, Mequon, Wisconsin. Free parking and admission. Entertainment by the Alte Kameraden Band and the Pommershe Tanzdeel groups. Cultural exhibits and genealogical displays will be present. Ethnic food, beer and soft drinks available.
